Kraft paper is made by blending the various types of cellulose fibers found in softwood pulp. These fibers can be either short or long, which makes kraft paper very strong yet flexible, making it very versatile. What sets kraft paper apart from other grades is the fact that it does not go through the typical paper bleaching process.

The main characteristics of phenolic resins and the reasons why they are in such demand are: excellent thermal behavior, high level of strength and resistance, long thermal and mechanical stability, and an excellent ability to act as electrical and thermal insulator.
